From the recording One Night of Sin

The great icon of the blues and Broadway star, Linda Hopkins was a generous mentor who loved nothing more in her later years than to go to the Hollywood Studio Bar and Grill and be with and encourage singers to carry on the blues. I was lucky enough to be one of those people who always marveled when she showed up. It was at one of those weekly outings that she told me she had a song for me to sing, one of her own! I accepted with trepidation. The blues? Me? And she was right, how I love the genre. I offer "I'm Going to Cry You Right Out", the song that after I sang, she said "You sang that better than me!" She said more, but let's leave it right there.
For Linda with love. Thank you!
